Invited Seminar: The Governance and Regulation of Risk Management for Defined Benefit Pension Funds

On behalf of the Centre for Employment, Work and Finance, University of Oxford, we are pleased to be hosting an invited seminar on the governance and regulation of private sector pension funds. The seminar will be held in Oxford on September 20-21, 2007.
The goal of the seminar is to learn lessons on the key parameters that govern the risk management of pension funds including regulation, accounting and risk preference. We invite pension funds and their consultants, regulators and academics to engage in the formulation of solutions in the form of best-practice models.
The seminar is sponsored by Allianz Global Investors and the University of Oxford.

Conference Information / Registration
The seminar starts on 7:30 pm on Thursday, September 20th, 2007 with a brief introduction followed by dinner and ends at around 7 pm on Friday, September 21st, 2007, with a reception. The dinner on Thursday will be held at Queen's College. Friday's conference venue is St Anne's College. Please see this map of Oxford with the location of the colleges.
The following details should assist you in preparing your trip to Oxford.
Transport
Oxford is roughly 60 miles from Heathrow airport. A coach service linking Heathrow to Oxford leaves every 30 minutes at the cost of ~£19 (round trip). The coach can be taken to various Oxford stops. Queen's College is just opposite the stop 'Queen's Lane'. The journey is on average 75 minutes. Rental cars are not advised, as parking in Oxford is extremely difficult.
