SoGE Alumni gathering held in London
On Monday the 8th of February 2010 the SoGE held an informal alumni gathering in London which was attended by past undergraduate students of the School. The initiative was led by Mandy Miller (St Catherine's College, 96-99) and Alison Parker (Head of Development, Social Sciences Division) and supported by the School's Research and Development committee. Prof. David Thomas gave a brief outline of the School's current endeavours.
The evening was a great success and the School are hoping that this will be the first of many such events. Photos from the event are available below.
The School are working to improve alumni relations across its graduate and undergraduate programmes and are looking to establish regular updates on news, job opportunities and events. To this end an alumni website has been established for all past students of the School. Alumni of the School (including Geography, ECI and TSU) are invited to get in touch via the above webpage or by sending an email to jan.burke@ouce.ox.ac.uk
Following the event, alumni of the School have also established an Oxford School of Geography Alumni page on Facebook.
